![]() Spring is a time of new beginnings. And with that, comes the desire for cleansing, detoxification and/or weight loss. Now is the ideal time to start thinking about this since it is a transitional time of the year as well as a spiritual time for new beginnings and cleansing out the old to make room for the new. This not only applies to our bodies and the toxins that have built up in our tissues and organs throughout the year, but also to our mental, emotional and spiritual bodies where we store memories, emotions and every experience we have ever had. It is important to take stock and look at how the relationships in our lives either serve us healthfully or contribute to toxicity in our lives. Everything in existence is about relationship. So whether it is the relationship between the cells in our bodies or the relationship with our significant other, kids, friends, business colleagues, or our relationship with the Divine, we need to look at how these relationships either serve to keep us healthy or serve to make us sick. We all know how being in the wrong relationship can either make us feel wonderful or dreadful. Everything we think, say, and do, has an effect. This is how Karma works - it all counts - not just when we are meditating, praying or doing our affirmations, but all the time, 24/7/365. Every thought, word and deed is essentially a prayer, in every moment of every day. When we take the necessary actions to take care of ourselves, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, the universe responds and supports these intentions to assist us to make the most nourishing choices – from the food we ingest, the thoughts we choose to think, the relationships we allow to nourish us, to how we express our connection to the Divine. This is the time to think about that which is serving us to make us vital, strong, and healthy, or that which is contributing to stress, digestive disturbance and weight gain, fatigue, or illness. Set a san kalpa, an intention, a Positive Transformation, to detoxify your body, mind and spirit this spring so that you may live a life of strength, vitality and health as you minimize the toxicity in your life. At Kalyana Centre, we will support you in this process by providing a vast array of services such as Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Spiritual Counseling, Meditation, Massage, Yoga, Reiki, and more, so that you may live a life of health, vitality and love. ![]() Hi Everyone and Welcome to my blog, Pharma to Dharma! I decided that this was a great way to share some of my unique experience from my 20+ year career in nursing and pharmaceutical research (Pharma) and the path that lead me to creating a practice in holistic health & wellness and becoming Founder of the Kalyana Centre (Dharma) in Narberth, PA. For those of you who do not know, Dharma, in Sanskrit, means life purpose. It is has always been fascinating to me how everything that we think, say and do matters, and becomes a stepping stone to where we are ultimately meant to be. There should be no regrets, and as I share this journey with you, I hope you will see yourself in some of my adventures, knowing that you are not alone in what you may have faced or be facing currently. With the state of affairs both individually and collectively we are making this paradigm shift in consciousness together. The challenges especially, hold the highest spiritual lessons and I look forward to meeting even more faithful companions on this journey that we share here on planet earth. Pharma to Dharma is the book I am working on and I hope to have your support as I bring it to fruition. Your health & wellbeing matters to me and I look forward to hearing your ideas as to how I and the Kalyana Centre can be of service to make your journey easier & more enjoyable. So sit back, relax, have a cup of tea, and enjoy the read..... Much love & light ~ Dr. Joanna |
